Amenities and Activities

Secure and Eco Estate

Las Olas will be a private gated community offering its resident 24/7 security and 20 kilometers stretch of beaches on the Pacific Ocean.  It’s an eco-community and only electric vehicles will be admitted on the property (except for maintenance and delivery vehicles).

Ceibo Valley Golf Club

For me, the number one asset of the project is its world-class golf course.  The Ceibo Valley golf Club is named after these majestic trees that surround the property and will come in play on many of the golf holes, especially on number 2 and number 7.  The clubhouse will be located about halfway on the property and will include top practice facilities (driving range, putting green and a short par-3 practice course).  Located about 1,5km from the ocean, it will offer a great view of the ocean, the back nine and the valley.  The clubhouse will include restaurants, golf pro-shop, and meeting rooms.  Amazing terraces will be the perfect place for an after round drink while observing your friends approaching and putting on the 18th green.

The first nine holes will loop at the top of the property while the back nine will slope down to the coast before coming back to the clubhouse.  Many holes will offer dramatic views of the valley and the ocean, especially the par3 15th hole which green will be located directly on the beach!

Equestrian Center

I’m not a fan of horses, but my daughter loves them.  There’s a huge equestrian tradition in South America (polo is a very popular sport) and you can find many equestrian communities in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, etc.  That said, very few of them as the advantage of being located on the coast, allowing you to ride on unspoiled beaches for kilometers.  The nature reserve trails will also offer horseback riders a great way to enjoy their favorite sport in the middle of the nature.

The facilities seem to be state-of-the-art.  This video showcases the Equestrian Center of Las Olas.

Tennis Club

I played competitive tennis for many years, from junior up to until the age of 20.  I gave lessons, managed a tennis pro-shop and won many tournaments in both single and double.  Over the last 20 years, I swear I haven’t played tennis more than 5-6 times.  I was just fed up with the sport.  The Las Olas tennis facilities will boost 10 tennis courts (I’ve heard they wanted to build five in hard surface and five in clay).  You will also be able to play pickleball, a racquet sport more and more popular.   On my side, I discovered Beach tennis and Speedminton in Mauritius and will certainly play it while in Las Olas.  The beach is just perfect for these sports! ;)

The tennis club will be located near the 6th hole of the Ceibo Valley golf course in the Campo de Golf community.  It will include a pool, locker rooms, a pro-shop and a snack bar.

Nature Reserve

The Las Olas Private Nature Reserve is a 650 acres piece of land located in a valley on the North-East side of the property.  Kilometers of trails will allow residents to enjoy walking, bicycling and horseback riding and to observe the wildlife and flora of this part of Ecuador.  Trails will bring them from the beach to the furthest point of the property in total security and peace.  Some trails will offer dramatic viewpoints on the beach, the golf course, and the nature reserve valley itself.  Some of these viewpoints will make for perfect picnic spots!

I already had the opportunity to walk one of them.

Beach Club

The Las Olas beach club and Spa will be offering all the amenities people are looking for when living near the beach on an amazing estate.  Three pools (one of Olympic-size length) will be overlooking the beach and the Pacific Ocean.

The two-storey building will include a restaurant, a gym, a spa, shops and large terraces to enjoy life while spending good time with friends.
